This is a weighted clear polyethylene groundwater bailer — a passive sampling device for collecting water samples from monitoring wells.

What it is:

• A 1.5" diameter × 36" long clear poly (polyethylene) tube with a bottom check valve
• Weighted — the added weight helps it sink quickly and consistently, especially useful in wells with slow water recovery or when sampling at depth
• Clear construction allows the sampler to visually confirm the bailer has filled and observe sample characteristics (turbidity, color, LNAPL/DNAPL presence) before retrieval
