Inuktun MaggHD™ Magnetic Inspection Crawler

Pine Item #55989

The Inuktun MaggHD™ is a compact, tethered magnetic inspection crawler engineered for high-definition remote visual inspection of ferrous structures where direct personnel access is difficult, hazardous, or operationally inefficient. Its rare-earth magnetic chassis and twin 4000-Series Microtracs™ enable controlled travel across horizontal, vertical, and inverted steel surfaces while the full-HD camera provides a 360° continuous tilt range, 10x optical zoom, and 12x digital zoom.

Designed for both dry and submerged inspection, the MaggHD is depth rated to 60 m (200 ft) and supports up to 100 m (330 ft) of tether. Operators can capture live video, still images, and inspection information through Eddyfi’s ICON™ platform. Optional laser reference lines and auxiliary lighting improve visual assessment, while the removable camera head can be deployed on a pole for localized inspection of tanks, vessels, manholes, and other confined spaces.

The platform is particularly well suited for asset-integrity programs involving storage tanks, pressure vessels, large-diameter piping, wind-energy structures, marine assets, offshore facilities, and controlled-access nuclear applications.

Product Capabilities

  • Magnetic travel on horizontal, vertical, and inverted ferrous surfaces
  • Full-HD remote visual inspection with continuous camera tilt
  • Inspection deployment to 60 m / 200 ft depth
  • Up to 100 m / 330 ft tether reach
  • Live video, still-image capture, and inspection-data recording
  • Integrated variable-intensity camera lighting with optional auxiliary lights

Industries of Use

  • Oil & Gas / Petrochemical – Tanks, piping, vessels, and offshore structures.
  • Power & Nuclear – Steel structures, vessels, piping, and controlled-access assets.
  • Marine & Shipbuilding – Hulls, welds, coatings, and submerged steel.
  • Renewable Energy – Wind turbine towers
  • Water & Wastewater – Tanks, and large-diameter infrastructure,
  • Industrial Manufacturing – Remote inspection of confined or difficult-access steel assets.

Key Benefits

  • Reduces confined-space entry, scaffolding, and rope access
  • Keeps operators safely remote from the inspection area
  • Delivers HD visual data for assessment and reporting
  • Extends inspection reach to submerged and hard-to-access assets
  • Enables faster deployment and repeatable inspection
  • Operates on horizontal, vertical, inverted, wet, and dry surfaces
  • Supports modular camera, lighting, laser, and sensor configurations
Features:

Full-HD Inspection Camera: Provides high-definition remote visual inspection with 10x optical zoom, 12x digital zoom, and continuous camera tilt for detailed examination of difficult-to-access assets.

Magnetic Surface Mobility: Rare-earth magnetic modules allow the crawler to travel on horizontal, vertical, and inverted ferrous surfaces including steel tanks, vessels, piping, and structural components.

Long-Range Tethered Operation: Supports up to 100 m (330 ft) of tether for remote inspection while maintaining power, communication, video, and control from the operator station.

60 m Depth Rating: Designed for inspection above or below the waterline to depths of 60 m (200 ft), supporting dry, splash-zone, and submerged inspection applications.

Optional Laser Reference: Two optional vertical 635 nm laser lines spaced 70 mm (2.75 in) apart provide an on-screen dimensional reference during visual inspection.

Integrated and Auxiliary Lighting: Includes two variable in-camera LEDs with support for optional external 801 lights to improve visibility in dark tanks, vessels, pipelines, and submerged environments.

ICON™ Inspection Software: Supports ICON™ and ICON RPT™ for system control, video and still-image capture, inspection documentation, and reporting.

Removable Camera Head: The camera can be removed from the crawler and mounted to a deployment pole for rapid nearby inspection of tanks, pressure vessels, manholes, and other confined spaces.

Applications:

Storage Tank Inspection: Remotely inspect tank walls, welds, coatings, and other internal or external ferrous surfaces while reducing the need for direct personnel access.

Pressure Vessel Inspection: Capture close-up and zoomed HD imagery of vessel surfaces, welds, coatings, and other areas requiring condition assessment.

Large-Diameter Pipe Inspection: Travel along ferrous pipe surfaces to visually assess welds, coatings, corrosion indications, and other areas of interest.

Underwater Weld and Coating Inspection: Perform remote visual assessment of submerged welds, paint systems, and ferrous structures at depths up to 60 m (200 ft).

Wind Turbine Inspection: Inspect wind turbine towers and other magnetic structural components using the crawler's vertical climbing capability and HD camera system.

Ship Hull and Marine Inspection: Examine ship hulls, splash-zone steel, coatings, welds, and other marine structures above or below the waterline.

Offshore Structure Inspection: Remotely inspect difficult-access ferrous components on offshore platforms and related oil and gas infrastructure.

Potable Water System Inspection: Conduct remote visual inspection of suitable steel tanks and water-system infrastructure without placing personnel directly at the inspection location.

Reactor Vessel Inspection: Support controlled remote visual assessment of reactor vessels and other suitable nuclear-industry steel structures.

Confined Space and Manhole Inspection: Use the crawler or removable pole-mounted camera to visually access locations where conventional personnel entry is difficult or undesirable.
